Head Coach Greta Grothe
Greta Grothe was named as the ninth head coach of the women's basketball program in July 2017.
Grothe comes to Southwestern after two Southern Athletic Association (SAA) championship seasons as the assistant coach at Rhodes College from 2013-15 before landing the head coaching position at the University of Dallas. While at Dallas, Grothe led the Crusaders to the SCAC Championships in each of her two seasons, falling in the quarterfinals each year.
Grothe's team was ranked second in the conference in offensive rebounds per game, least points allowed per game and opponent's three-point percentage last season.
Prior to Rhodes, Grothe served as a graduate assistant for two years at NAIA DI Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, as the Wildcats posted their first 20 win season in nearly ten years and was an assistant coach at NCAA DIII Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, for four seasons.
Grothe received her undergraduate degree in 2005 from Rockhurst University. In 2013, she completed her masters from Baker.
